Mobile purchase and payment? No problem in 45 Tesco stores
26 September 2019
Shopping for groceries is a bit easier. Lovers of modern technology will certainly be pleased with the new option of buying and paying via mobile phone, which now offers all Prague Tesco stores. In total, you can buy in 45 Tesco stores in the Czech Republic, of which 33 are in Prague.
Today, a mobile phone offers a wealth of other uses. One of them is the possibility of convenient payment for daily shopping. If you have a Clubcard loyalty card and are located in one of Prague's Tesco stores, you can use your smartphone to make purchases.
And how does this news work? Scan your loyalty card to Scan & Shop. This is the only condition for using this service. If you do not have a loyalty card, you have the option to pay in cash or at the self-service checkout.
“Use your mobile phone as a scanner and scan your entire purchase through the Scan & Shop app. Then select "Pay online" and you are automatically redirected to the 3D secure payment gateway. Here you will complete your purchase. For your first payment, you'll need to fill in all the necessary credit card information, " explains Patrik Dojčinovič, Tesco Executive Director for the Czech Republic. You do not need to complete anything on your next purchase if you chose "Quick Payment" and saved your information on your first payment. You will then confirm your payment with a numeric CVC code on your card. The payment process itself takes only a few seconds and you are happy to leave with your purchase.
The purchase receipt is not a problem either, the customer will first see the electronic receipt on the phone, and automatically display a standard paper receipt from a special printer located at the entrance to the self-service cash registers.
